FAQs

On the day

Will we notice you a lot on the day?

I try to be as inconspicuous as possible. It’s important that you enjoy YOUR big day without the photographer getting in the way.

After the wedding

When do we get wedding photographs?

On average it usually takes around 4 weeks.

When do we pay you?

The photos are cash on delivery. A lot of people pay before the wedding, but a payment in the week that you arrive from your honeymoon is fine.
A 50% deposit is payable in order to secure your booking.

Courier cost?

If you want me to courier the photos to you, you are looking at about:
R120 in RSA (counter to counter)
R450 overseas
Full payment needs to be made before I send the photos.

Packages

Do you have Wedding Packages?

How many photographs do you take?

It depends on each wedding. Minimum of 500.

Do you provide black and white images?

Yes. I shoot in colour, but during the editing process I will change some photos to black and white, depending on the look and feel of the photo.

Who chooses the pictures to be printed?

I do. The disk that is included in each package has all the photos taken at the wedding. Couples can use this to print the photos I missed.

Travel

What are your travel costs?

There is no travel cost for weddings within 100 km of Cape Town. Thereafter a cost of R4 per km will apply. Depending on the time of the wedding and the distance to the venue, accommodation may be required… which brings us to the next point.

Destination Weddings

Do you travel for weddings?

I am happy to do so, but please bear in mind that travel costs will be over and above my standard fee. I’m happy to work with you in ensuring that prices are kept to a minimum. I understand that accommodation for the photographer is never a priority when budgeting for a wedding.

Cancellation

Cancellations will be permitted up to 3 months before the event, thereafter, the 50% deposit will not be refundable. Rescheduling is dependent on the photographer’s availability.

Post Processing

How important is post-processing in your final images?

Also called “editing”, I believe this is a crucial part of what I have to offer. I believe in keeping the image as natural as possible. Just enhancing the colours and contrast a bit to create a mood.

Having said all this I would just like to say that I understand the pressures of planning a wedding. My job is to support you where I can and to ensure that your big day is filled with good memories, laughter and (most of all) LOVE!
