FAQs

On the day

Will we notice you a lot on the day?

I try to be as inconspicuous as possible. It’s important that you enjoy YOUR big day without the photographer getting in the way.

After the wedding

When do we get wedding photographs?

On average it usually takes around 8 weeks.

When do we pay you?

A 50% deposit is payable in order to secure your booking. The balance is payable anytime before the wedding date.

Packages

Do you have Wedding Packages?

Please see Wedding Photography Packages.

How many photographs do you take?

It depends on each wedding. Minimum of 500.

Do you provide black and white images?

Yes. I shoot in colour, but during the editing process I will change some photos to black and white, depending on the look and feel of the photo.

Who chooses the pictures to be printed?

I do. The USB drive that is included in each package has all the photos taken at the wedding. Couples can use this to print the photos I missed.

Travel

What are your travel costs?

There is no travel cost for weddings within 100 kms of Cape Town. Thereafter a cost of R4 per km will apply.

Do you require accommodation?

Only in the event of weddings that require upward of 150 kms of travel, but please bear in mind that these costs will be over and above my standard fee. I’m happy to work with you in ensuring that prices are kept to a minimum. I understand that accommodation for the photographer is never a priority when budgeting for a wedding.

Destination Weddings

Europe?

My base rate for European weddings is €2000. There are many variables to consider when quoting for a destination wedding, so please email me at gavin@crazylittlething.co.za for a personalised quote.

Cancellation

More than 3 months

Cancellations will be permitted, with full refund of deposit, up to 3 months before the event.

Within 3 months

Cancellation within 3 months of the event will result in the 50% deposit not being refundable. Rescheduling is dependent on my availability.

Post Processing

How important is post-processing in your final images?

Also called “editing”, I believe this is a crucial part of what I have to offer. I believe in keeping the image as natural as possible. My personal look and feel will be applied to each image received.

Having said all this I would just like to say that I understand the pressures of planning a wedding. My job is to support you where I can and to ensure that your big day is filled with good memories, laughter and (most of all) LOVE!
